MIST Student Wins Bronze Honour in IAAC 2025
MIST student Shehab Shahriar Fardin of AE Dept , has been awarded the Bronze Honour in the International Astronomy and Astrophysics Competition (IAAC) 2025. The IAAC is a prestigious global competition that assesses students’ knowledge and problem-solving skills in astronomy and astrophysics.
In the Final Round, a supervised exam requiring comprehensive knowledge, Fardin scored 11 points out of 20, placing him among the top 20% of 12,300 participants worldwide and within the top 75% of 3,200 Final Round participants.
This accomplishment marks the first-ever IAAC honour for MIST, underscoring the growing interest in space sciences among students and reflecting the institute’s commitment to academic excellence. Assistant Professor Nazifa Tasnim served as the official supervisor.
